"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:37-40)Faith is all about relationships. There is no such thing as a solo faith experience. Faith always leads us into a closer relationship with God and with those around us. In the book of Acts the early followers of Christ were described as devoted to community and to learning God's Word:
"They devoted themselves to the apostle's teaching and to the fellowship. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their numbers daily those who were being saved (Acts 2:42a, 46,47)."
As our congregation grows larger we also need to grow smaller. Our desire is to find ways to help people connect with God and with each other. This is what "Doing Life Together" is all about. Our hope is to provide a place for every person to experience Christian community where they can spiritually grow, find comfort and support in life, and experience the joy of serving Christ so others might experience His love for them.
